went out to the canal this morning, had that misty vibe, felt kinda magical, y'know? temp was nice at almost 29° but that wind was a bit strong! started around 6 AM, threw my favorite purple jig with a curly tail and bam, first cast got a decent catfish, like 4 lbs! kept at it and by 11, had 3 more catfish and a couple small bream. the bites were hit or miss, but overall super chill day! can't wait to fry em up later. also saw some folks out there with live bait, maybe I should try that next time. 👌
