finally a decent day on bitter lake! it was cloudy but warm, like finally! caught a bunch of nice bluegills. used my favorite ultralight rod with some jigs. it was just peaceful, fishin’ while the breeze was light. sometimes i forget how good it feels to be out here.
bitter lake was freezing today ughhh. barely got any bites, but i did see some big fish swimming around. tried a few different baits but they just weren’t interested. wind was strong too, felt like i was fighting it the whole time. didn’t get skunked but boy was it tough!
tried again today, rain was relentless. didn’t catch much, just a few small perch. the storm made it hard to feel bites. my buddy got frustrated and we ended up just goofin’ off instead. at least we got to eat some burgers on the shore. still a fun day!
oh man, today was epic! the rain was heavy this morning but i went anyway. got soaked but pulled in a huge 5lb bass with a topwater lure! my heart was racing! the wind was crazy at times too, made it a challenge for sure but so worth it. best day this season!
hit the lake again, cloudy day but no rain thankfully. caught a mix of crappies and sunnies, all smaller but still fun! used a light tackle rod with a worm on a bobber, classic. love those lazy summer afternoons on the water! felt relaxed.
