Our private charter had to display some good old fashioned patience today. In a typical 3/4 day trip we can expect to make about 3-5 moves thru ought the day looking for fish. Today however, we did not find what we were looking for until our 9th stop of the day. The rapidly changing conditions coupled with the short windows of biting fish have been driving yours truly crazy the past couple of days. Today's photo will show you why we have been putting ourselves thru such mental anguish. Today's final count for our 31 passengers is 11 yellowtail 20 calico bass 16 barracuda 7 rockfish. Our yellowtail today weighed 20-35 pounds and were biting the fly lined sardines the best.

Passing up the small numbers of big Bluefin, targeting big variety! We departed today on our annual Hess 7 day charter. We are pointed south targeting Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Yellowfin tuna! The weather is great and the prime rib is Delicious. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Mike Pritchard called in at 8:22 AM this morning with an audio update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA. We just had our first morning stop. We went 2 for 6 on the bigger grade Tuna over 100 pounds. We did get on that is around 115. In addition, we caught a couple on fly-lined baits. Make sure you bring multiple outfits. We recommend 20 pound all the way to 80.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-08-2016 Good evening Supreme fans. We departed nice and early this morning on Brad Bogart's 6th Annual 2 day Tuna Charter. The crew worked double time to get the boat untied sooner than normal to get Brad and company out on the water and fishing ASAP and we did. We left the dock with a fairly set game plan and within a couple hours that all totally changed. Just shows you how things can change at the drop of a hat. On our way out to our intended destination, we happened to stumble upon a school of a really nice grade of yellowfin tuna that wanted to chew good. It was change of pace fishing and catching this 30 lb. grade of tuna that we haven't seen in some time. It's a bonus when you get to change your plans for the better. We spent the rest of the afternoon on these very manageable schools until it was dinner time. Tomorrow should fair out the same way with hopes of this fish sticking around and making a day of it. The guys went to bed after a nice prime rib dinner and a few less fish tags on their belts ready to get back at it in the morning. Check in tomorrow to see how we ended up. I can't close this report out without giving a huge thank you to Vernon "Paddy" Burke and his Simpitico crew for an epic 5 day trip. These guys hung in there with 5 days of trophy style bluefin fishing and we know they are taking home some sore arms and backs to the great state of Texas. They say everything is bigger in Texas, well not your bluefin tuna boys! We're already looking forward to seeing them back next year for another week out on the water. Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We had a very nice day on the water, we picked up 42 Bluefin. We do have 1 hang'n. Very, very good sign of tuna here today. We have very good scores and there is still plenty of daylight left. We'll keep you posted."

Polaris Supreme Trip Reports 08-03-2016 Today's trip has us departing on Henry Hampton's four-day trip. This is Henry's second year chartering the boat and it looks like he has quite a few new anglers. One thing about them looks the same though there are excited to get out and get at some good quality fishing. So off we go! We left the bait receivers with some of the most ratty bait that we've seen all year. Luckily we have a good supply in our center slammer that we have been rat holing for a few trips now. Departing this afternoon judging our options we have decided to try a little something different there is some new good-looking water and signs of yellows in a new area. As always happens the old areas are drying up fast. We have good weather today and a forecast of good weather tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris Supreme crew!

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening.  The audio was broken up but wait for it.  They had 61 Yellowtail and a good pick on Calicos.  The load is light tomorrow and very light this coming week.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego. Today Captain Cameron ran the boat. We had 32 anglers catch 97 Yellowtail. We also had some Barracuda and Bonito. We have are having great weather today and in the near future.
