Animas River Fishing Report

another great day! kept it simple with a float rig and some salmon eggs, caught a ton of little guys. the bigger ones just weren’t biting tho. but hey, always fun out on the water with friends, right?

had a blast at the animas, weather was perfect! landed 7 fish, biggest was just under 5 lbs. threw a black woolly bugger and they were all over it. spent a few hours just enjoying the sun and the river.

what a day! sunny and warm, felt like summer already. caught 4 keepers then lost a monster at the bank! 😭. using a yellow spinner and it was fire. can't wait to get back out again this week.

the sunshine was so nice today, made me wanna fish all day. caught 6 fish, mostly little ones but one was a solid 3 lbs! used a red crankbait that was just gettin' all the action. light wind felt good too.

didn’t expect to catch much today with the rain pouring down, but i actually hooked a couple of great browns! they were lurking in the eddies. just using a plain old spinner but it worked out. got soaked but it was fun!
