ute lake Fishing Report 2024

It was good sign of fish but little tougher to get a bite yesterday. We definitely made the best of it landing 27 bluefin tuna. Let’s hope they get back to biting tonight !

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-29-2019 This nice grade tuna (20 to 40 pounds) is really giving us a hard time. We must've made over a dozen anchor jobs today following that around. Finally just before dark it wanted to settle in and bite good. We were keeping 10 going at a time for a while. It was all that nice quality with no skipjack! We landed a few yellowtail today and of course skipjack and small tuna everywhere we went. The weather did the same thing! I'm calling it the Camelot affect windy crappy weather at night and it gets nice starting in the morning and then starts all over with the nasty weather at night. Will be here again tomorrow and try this one last day before we have to head up the line. The Polaris Supreme Crew

Excellent Bluefin Tuna fishing on the limited load Chaparro 3 .5 day. Big ones in the 130lb class and lots in the 20-40lb class as well.

The hours and hours of driving are quickly forgot as soon as your struck by mahi madness. Limits of mahi mahi and 20 yellowtail.

Hello everyone, Had another exciting day of fishing here today. A lot of action, but we were able to be a little more selective today. We were able to catch some more Yellowtail, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Grouper, and Cabrilla. Another mixed bag day. Great action and variety for everyone. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-11-16 Today we are going to start out our report by telling Carla Studley that her husband Tom Studley would like to tell her he loves her and has been happy to have been married to her for so many wonderful years. Happy Anniversary Carla and Tom! After writing that last sentence I just found out that Mark and Eve on board are having an anniversary today! Congratulations to you two also! Well on to fishing. I don't know where they came from I'm glad they did we just had a great day Wahoo fishing! What a great place to celebrate your anniversary for Mark and Eve catching Wahoo on board the Polaris supreme! At least you get the benefit at home Carla with Wahoo tacos Wahoo Almond Dean and what ever delicious dish you can come up with. We have great weather and are having a fantastic time out here we are hoping the Wahoo are going to stick around inside here like they were today, that would be fantastic to do this two days in a row! Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-20-2016Good afternoon everyone. We departed today on the Joe Beck/Bob Vance Annual 5 Day Charter. Not long after the morning offload, the boat was fueled up, groceries loaded we were headed out to the tuna grounds that have recently popped up. There isn't much time to waste when there can be quite a bit of time to fish on the departure day of a 5 day trip. We loaded up on a fairly descent variety of sardine, got all of our seminars out of the way and went right into rigging up. We arrived at the area we wanted to look at not too long after lunch and stumbled on few schools right away. Nothing wanted to bite in any volume right off the bat, but Tom Christiansen got down with his jig and managed to hook up on something nice. After about a good half hour on the bow, he was able to land about a 110 lb. beautiful bluefin tuna. Not bad at all for his effort on 40 lb.test. Great way to start the trip. We spent the remainder of the day trolling around yummy flyers trying to locate a nice school to shut down on, but it looked like the fish went down for the afternoon. We'll camp out here tonight, enjoy a nice prime rib dinner and get back at it first thing in the morning. Well check back in with you tomorrow.Tight lines,Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 12-06-2018 We took a break today from tuna fishing and concentrated mainly on yellowtail and had fair success. Mostly 14 to 15 pounder grade with a few 20 pounders thrown in. We have had a great time here at Guadalupe on our OTR seven-day but now it's time to head for home. So far our ride is beautiful in calm seas! We will be clearing Ensenada tomorrow around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
