got hit with some light rain but still had a fun time! caught 3 trout but lost a BIG one right at the bank, ugh! using spinners mostly, but might need to switch it up next time. wind was crazy at one point, almost blew my hat off!
cloudy and chilly today at the res. only caught a couple of small perch, not the best luck. tried some new jigs but they didn't work. felt good to be out, tho! planning to hit it again when it’s warmer!
absolutely gorgeous sunny day! went out early and got 6 nice carp, biggest was 5lbs! used sweet corn, they could not resist! the wind picked up later but that didn’t bother me. just chilling on the water with the sun was bliss!
had a rough day with the rain and wind at derwent, only caught 1 small trout. was hoping for more but it just wasn’t happening. gonna try different bait next time, maybe something more flashy. always a new learning experience i guess!
partly cloudy today, wind was a bit much but managed to snag 3 decent perch near the dam. used earthworms, they seemed to be hungry! kept 2 and released the other, felt good! saw a few other anglers struggling tho
