Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-24-2019 We had another log jam today on the kelp patties. Another great day of fishing Wahoo and what a beautiful grade of fish! Some real beauties in their. They look more like alligators than Wahoo. They definitely act like alligators when you hook one. We also had a good hit on the yellowfin tuna again this afternoon. The grade of fish was more like 20 to 45 it wasn't all 45 pounders. But still a good grade of fish! Were finished up in the lower zone here and need to start working north. Stayed late today so we will probably only have a few hours of fishing tomorrow if any looking for some yellowtail up the coast. Weather is still epic. We also spent about a half hour today catching and releasing beautiful grade Dorado. We didn't keep any! Will check in with you tomorrow on our way home after a short try for yellowtail. 18 pass. 20 bluefin tuna from 60-80 lbs. Excellent opportunity to hook and land a trophy fish on 40 lb flyline bait with a 1/0 circle hook. 160 gram Flatfalls fished on 60lb was also working well.

Hello everyone how about a little recap of our seven day AHI Charter. We spent two days traveling down to the hot Wahoo grounds in absolutely beautiful flat, whether enjoying the company of all of our good friends old and new! From there proceeded to have some of the most awesome Wahoo fishing for the next three days with a few hundred football yellowfin tuna and a handful of quality Dorado thrown in. The next day we spent scrounging around for a shot at giving everybody a chance to catch a yellowtail. And here we are today traveling up and doing what we always do on the last day hanging out telling stories taking naps and oh yeah we have Wi-Fi so burning up megabytes on Mexicans tell cell. We will be into the dock tomorrow morning and unload our beautiful catch. If you got a chance swing by the landing at daylight and take a peek. Thank you charter master Dallas Lamb and Vance Willer for putting together a great group of guys and a super fun experience for everyone. The Polaris supreme will be at the dock until November 6 doing boat work and then we will depart on our limited load 10 day trip with Jim Holman and the boys! We still have room for four or anglers if you would like to join us November 6 for some of the most impressive Wahoo fishing we have ever seen in the fall. We departed today on the "Let's Talk Hook-up" charter with Rock Cod Rick and 21 anglers. Things sound very promising on the albacore grounds so that is where we are headed. The weather is sloppy and we are hoping it will lay down. Tune in tomorrow for an update.

 Strictly a couple of travel days for us on these dates.  That's three in a row now.  1 1/2 days of that in good weather and the other 1 1/2 days in choppy weather.  The boats cleaned inside and out now.  The rails have been oiled.  Now we wait and do things like we do on these days.  You should know the travel day drill by now. 

 So anyway, we're fat, happy and lazy but we need to snap out of it now because tomorrow we're going to do some fishing.  We'll be looking for a dorado kelp tomorrow.  We should only need one dorado kelp to get what we need so hopefully we can get it done.  We'll find out shortly.  the weather should be nice tomorrow which will make the kelp easier to find.

Hello Everybody,

The reports will now be generated through the office as we are out of our Sat phone range. Our weather is good and we should arrive to the fishing grounds at 4 pm tomorrow, Saturday. The reports of excellent fishing have us all excited. We're just doing the normal stuff, and getting our equipment rigged and ready. Had a great lunch today consisting of the critters we caught yesterday at Alijos Rocks.

Hello everyone,

today we finished up fishing for these big blue fin tuna. It was an amazing finish. Everyone on the boat landed a fish 130 pounds or bigger up to 220. Incredible fishing for these big blue fin and enough to go around for everyone we will be in the dock tomorrow to get a final weight on these things.

The morning started our ok. We scratched yellows for about 4 hours and kelps patties. Little sign of dorado. As the day progressed it got tougher with few patties. Overall it was a slow day.

Our weather is still great. Tomorrow we our on our way to do some Island fishing. Wish us luck.
