san luis pass Fishing Report 2024

After two trips in a row without seeing yellowtail. This morning we were pleasantly surprised when we located a nice school first thing in the morning. After a hectic 10 minute drift with our 48 anglers we had four 13-19 pound yellowtail on the deck. All four of our yellows were taken on yo-yo jigs. The rest of our trip was spent catching whitefish and rockfish with a few sheephead mixed in. Our afternoon yellowtail hunt came up empty. Fish Count = 4 yellowtail 14 sheephead 1 lingcod 215 whitefish 107 rockfish.

27 Anglers, 57 Yellowtail, and 30 Bonito. Sealions made us work for it but we got our share.

Hello Everyone, Today we spent the afternoon looking for this northern tuna. We were able to find a few schools and random fish marks that did not want to bite and only equated to only a hand full of strikes. After an afternoon of trying until the early evening we eventually had to call it a trip and start heading up to San Diego. We would like to thank Mark Costello for both spending his birthday with us and putting together another great charter! We cant wait till next year! our ETA is 5 am tomorrow. Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-24-2019 We had another log jam today on the kelp patties. Another great day of fishing Wahoo and what a beautiful grade of fish! Some real beauties in their. They look more like alligators than Wahoo. They definitely act like alligators when you hook one. We also had a good hit on the yellowfin tuna again this afternoon. The grade of fish was more like 20 to 45 it wasn't all 45 pounders. But still a good grade of fish! Were finished up in the lower zone here and need to start working north. Stayed late today so we will probably only have a few hours of fishing tomorrow if any looking for some yellowtail up the coast. Weather is still epic. We also spent about a half hour today catching and releasing beautiful grade Dorado. We didn't keep any! Will check in with you tomorrow on our way home after a short try for yellowtail. Good morning everyone, Today we had some good yellowtail fishing. A lot of fish around, but pretty hard to catch. Random flurries through out the day made it possible for us to be able to piece together a nice day. The fish were boiling up around the boat pretty good, but did not bite as good as we would have imagined. They must be on krill or red crab or something. Whatever they are keyed in on it is not what we have.....yet. We will give it the day tomorrow, wish us luck, Team supreme
