The spring Season is nearly upon us and we will be taking the Apollo to Santa Barbara for the rockfish opener and hopefully a productive seabass season. Polaris Supreme Trip update 11-25-2019 We woke up this morning to a beautiful calm day and a gorgeous sunrise! It looks pretty similar to the sunset we had yesterday. We had some good fishing on small grade yellowtail and a few more tuna for the boys. The Wahoo were definitely absent yesterday and today. Tomorrow that is going to be our main target species. We most likely will be coming in a day early on this trip sometime Friday or Thursday late. We've been watching that storm coming in over Thanksgiving Thursday and then continuing through Friday and we want to avoid getting caught in the middle of it. You can do these kind of things when you have a private charter! Right now the forecast for departing on Saturday looks like excellent weather as far as we can see on the forecast through the fourth of December. Thanks for tuning in! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Found another good school of Bluefin at 5:30pm. Good grade 30Lbs. Still biting GOOD. Loosing horse power fast. Down to 6 Anglers. Wind picked up a little but ok. Tommy.

100 grand, 77 inches of rain and enough acetone in our blood to kill an elephant. We are finally done. This Saturday March 16 we start fishing. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands targeting yellowtail and falling back on ground fish if needed. Bring your passports and please make reservations at 619-224-3383. We are scheduled 7 days a week.

Captain Ryan checked in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We returned late last night. Our trip today and Friday have been cancelled due to weather. Our next trip is going to be Saturday.

We had 25 anglers catch 7 Bluefin Tuna, 38 Yellowtail and 35 Bonito. We had some nice quality on the Bluefin Tuna. We had 6 Bluefin Tuna between 60 and 108 pounds. To be exact we had Bluefin Tuna weighing in at 108, 102, 90, 90, 80 and 60 pounds. We also had one small one that we caught on the troll early in the morning. There is excellent sign of big Bluefin Tuna right now.

It is very important to be prepared with the correct tackle. A Shimano Talica 12 or 16 two speed filled with 65 or 80 lb spectra. Connected to 5 feet of 80 or 130 lb flouro and a 250 gram flatfall. A sinker bait rig fished with a Talica 16 or 20 two speed filled halfway with 80 lb spectra than topped off with 60 or 80 lb mono to a short leader of 80 lb flouro. A 2/0 or 3/0 circle hook and a 4-6 oz torpedo sinker.
Please bring the correct tackle. During our last trip we had 20 hookups and got 6 of them.

Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with an awesome early morning fish report, it is 9 am and we already have 47 Bluefin Tuna from 40 to just over 100lbs, and a few Yellowfin Tuna. What a way to start the day, if you coming out to fish, make sure your tackle is in good working order, this will prevent some heartbreaks. We recommend that you have at least a 40 lb set up, also, a special thanks to SAC for assisting in getting the Bluefin Tuna issue resolved with Mexican authorities. Hope to see you out here soon.
