The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

39 yellowtail 1 halibut 75 whitefish 8 sculpin.

Our private charter had to display some good old fashioned patience today. In a typical 3/4 day trip we can expect to make about 3-5 moves thru ought the day looking for fish. Today however, we did not find what we were looking for until our 9th stop of the day. The rapidly changing conditions coupled with the short windows of biting fish have been driving yours truly crazy the past couple of days. Today's photo will show you why we have been putting ourselves thru such mental anguish. Today's final count for our 31 passengers is 11 yellowtail 20 calico bass 16 barracuda 7 rockfish. Our yellowtail today weighed 20-35 pounds and were biting the fly lined sardines the best.

We are re-opening the last spot on a upcoming 5.5 cedros-offshore trip. Targeting bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and calico bass!! Only 18 passenger limited load! Polaris Supreme Report 07-25-2016 Hey everyone, Another beautiful day out here on the offshore waters of northern Baja. Today we searched for kelp patties, breeezers, and bird schools. We did very well finding kelp, however it just doesn't seem that the large volume of fish has moved in on them yet. Hopefully soon! Later in the afternoon we found a nice temp break that lead some exotic Dorado and Yellowtail, even a Sea Turtle popped got in on the action. The yellows were large and healthy, and the Dorado were a welcome sight and hopefully a good precursor to the warm water fish months ahead. Tomorrow we will be fishing for big yellowtail and maybe a seabass or two Wish us luck! Team Supreme

After another slow day offshore. We have decided to make Monday and Tuesday an island trip. We will be targeting yellowtail, kelp bass, barracuda and we even heard of a bluefin sighting today. Summer island tackle consists of a 25 lb bait rod, a 40 lb yo-yo rod, your favorite jig stick and your favorite kelp bass rod. Passports are required. Reservations are light but both trips are a definite go.

Polaris Supreme Trip update 11-25-2019 We woke up this morning to a beautiful calm day and a gorgeous sunrise! It looks pretty similar to the sunset we had yesterday. We had some good fishing on small grade yellowtail and a few more tuna for the boys. The Wahoo were definitely absent yesterday and today. Tomorrow that is going to be our main target species. We most likely will be coming in a day early on this trip sometime Friday or Thursday late. We've been watching that storm coming in over Thanksgiving Thursday and then continuing through Friday and we want to avoid getting caught in the middle of it. You can do these kind of things when you have a private charter! Right now the forecast for departing on Saturday looks like excellent weather as far as we can see on the forecast through the fourth of December. Thanks for tuning in! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-22-2016 Today fared out to be a very productive day for our efforts. From shortly after sunrise clear til the end of the day, we kept a pretty consistent bite going. There was a couple lulls here and there, but all and all, there wasn't much down time to lose interest. The grade of fish was more than acceptable, staying pretty consistent at he 15-20 lb range. Not much more to ask for usually always having a least a couple going. With that type of fishing, there were very few fish lost due to tangles and so forth. All and all there was no complaints. Tonight we head out to see what tomorrow brings. We'll check back in tomorrow and until then, this is the Supreme Crew out. Tight lines and tails up, Team Supreme

65 yellowfin tuna (15-25 lbs) 129 purple skipjack aku tuna.  The skilled bait fisherman with a 20 lb setup and #2 hook was hooked up all day today.
