We didn't start fishing today till around 2:00 in the afternoon. Before that we traveled up in very cool dirty looking fishless water as we expected. Everyone slept in and chilled out while the crew did some maintenence on the boat and did some repairs on monday details. After the boat was in tip top shape we ate fish tacos and got ready to fish. We didn't find any wide open yellowtail fishing but we scrached out an afternoon. We caught 3 a round on mostly good grade yellowtails with a few cows mixed in. 35 pounders is about what they were. So we're traveling up now in good weather to the yellowfin/dorado grounds. We could use a top off on some yellowfin and we can use some more dorado and then we'll have most of a day to fish for the bluefin before we head for home.

Managed 4 nice Bluefin and Yellowfin in a less than ideal sea state today

Jodie called in from the Apollo out of Sea Landing with this trip announcement. "We have an Open Party trip this Friday, the 31st. It will depart Thursday night the 30th at 9:00 PM. This is a Berkeley sponsored 1 Day Trip. The cost is $145/Angler.

Capt Ryan Bostain from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing called in a report after going offshore today, we had a nice mixed bag of fish today. We had 50 anglers on board and ended the day with 60 Yellowtail, 38 Yellowfin Tuna and 5 Bluefin Tuna. The Yellowtail were in the 7-12 pound range and the Yellowfin were 15 - 35 pounders. We got a school of larger Bluefin Tuna and only managed to put on the boat around 50 pounds. We are going to continue offshore, if you want to come out bring an assortment of live bait set ups. You\'ll need size 2 - 2/0 hooks and maybe some smaller sliding sinkers. See you on the water.

Captain Cameron Cribben checked in this evening with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 17 anglers catch 6 Yellowfin Tuna and 7 Bluefin Tuna (up to 192 pounds). The Yellowfin Tuna were in the 15 to 18 pound class. The Bluefin Tuna were 25 to 35 pounds and we had 2 over 100 including this beautiful 192 pounder. The opportunity to capture a fish of a life time continues.

Reed Fiori checked in tonight with an audio update for The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing. Today we had 24 anglers catch 52 Yellowtail and 20 Bonito. We had plenty of opportunities today. The Yellows are currently down deep. We are catching them with heavy YoYo Jigs. Bee sure to use a large monofilament top-shot. We are also getting some fish on the dropper loop too. Hello everyone, Today we are making our way down to the promise land. We are spending the day taking care of some boat chores and rigging up. We are getting anxious to wet a line tomorrow! The weather is great and we are traveling smoothly. Cannot wait for tomorrow! On a side note we would like to wish our charter master Mark Costello a happy birthday today!
