Polaris Supreme Update 08-03-2012
Hi Anglers
Today started off bad for the first half. We just couldn't get it right . Then around mid day we found the school we where looking for. What were we looking for and found you might ask? Strait 33 t0 45 pound Yellowfin Tuna. What a beautiful grade of fish, thats all you heard captains on the radio saying all afternoon. We ended up having a great day. The main thing that frustrated us this morning was 4 out of the 8 long range guys put together a great morning on nice grade yellowtail. One of the guys even drifted all day on yellows and tuna. Now don't get me wrong I am really happy for him but I want to be that guy. Maybe tomorrow. We are experiencing great weather and hoping for more of that also. Mom, Taylor is having the time of her life so not to worry she is being spoiled. Thanks for tuning in Tommy.

Hello everyone,
Today we had a quick hit on the Wahoo early in the morning. After the quick hit on Wahoo the Dorado moved in and were ravenous. We looked around for more Wahoo, Tuna, and Grouper, little reward.
We will be trying for Yellowtail tomorrow.
Wish us luck,
Team Supreme

After a juicy prime rib dinner and a movie last night, the guys were
fast asleep. Today after breakfast we did our tuna and wahoo fishing
seminars. After lunch we spent the afternoon reading, leaders, rods,
reels, and putting together a few spare gaffs.
Our bait looks beautiful and the weather going down great. There is a
couple of guys who couldn't make it this year that we already miss being
around. Charlie we miss you doing laps. Hope your wife is doing well.
And Jimmy, Javier said today would have been a great day for bean soup!
Our evening consisted of chicken Cordon Blue, another movie and back to
bed. Tomorrow we may do a little fishing for meals and hors d'oeuvres.
We will let you know how it goes.

Ryan Bostian called in with this report, "I just wanted everybody to know that we are offering our 5:30 to 5:00 Coronado Island fishing trips every single day. The cost of this trip is exactly the same as the last 3 years $95.00, that does include your mexican permit. Come on down and see us and if you want to make a reservation call us at 619-224-3383.
At this moment we are fishing for rockcod, however we are keeping our eyes open for game fish. Any day now Yellowtail will show up down there. The water is improving by the day, as soon as we see Yellowtail you will be the first to know. As of know bring your heavy sinkers, 12 to 16 oz. of weight, 65 or 80 lb. spectra, 2 or 3 hooks above your sinker. Excellent rockcod fishing right now at 300' of water. Like I mentionede earlier we are keeping our eyes open for game fish as soon as we see them we will let you know.
Once again this is Ryan from the San Diego letting you know that we are offering our 5:30 to 5:00 Coronado Island trips everyday at Seaforth Sportfishing. To make those reservations call 619-224-3383."

Polaris Supreme docked at Fisherman's Landing August 3 under skipper Drew Henderson's hand. There were 24 anglers aboard the five-day trip.
"We had a good day on the one day the albacore were up," said Drew. "Then we fished kelps for dorado and yellowtail."
Ron Chisum of Escondido won first place for a 32.4-pound albacore he got with a sardine on a 3/0 Mustad hook and 30-pound Ande line. He said he used a TLD 15 reel and a Calstar 270 rod. He brought his best dorado, a 25-pounder, into the lineup photo.
Steve Taylor of Napa Valley tied for second place with Tom Connors of Escondido. Both had albacore of 31.8 pounds.
