had a rough day on the gulf, patchy rain again. tried for kingfish but they weren't biting. caught a few small snapper but nothing to brag about. used my new lure but maybe need to change tactics next time. but hey, being out on the water beats sitting at home any day!
another cloudy day in the gulf, hit the water with my dad, not much action. used squid for bait. only got a couple small ones. kinda disappointing but ya know how it goes. at least we had some snacks and got to enjoy each other's company. we’ll try again when it’s sunnier.
was out on the gulf again today, light rain but we pushed through. only hooked one decent snapper, about 60cm, but lost another one at the boat. my mate was using an ugly stick rod, it’s tough but those fish were slippery! still, good times with friends. gonna make chowder outta this one.
fished with my brother in the gulf, overcast skies, water was calm. used some pilchards for bait and caught a few snapper, all around 40-50cm. nothing too big but had fun. even saw some dolphins playin around, so cool! just a nice chill day out.
went out today on the boat. weather was kinda gloomy n chilly, only caught a few small kahawai. not the best day but still nice to be out, ya know? used my new rod, a shimano one, feels good but fish just weren’t biting much with all the patchy rain. better luck next time.
