bc saltwater Fishing Report 2024

 Today was mostly a travel day for us.  We did have a nice little surprise in the morning.  We had a double jig strike on wahoo.  Then we had a couple more singles.  Then we had one more single a little later along with a few dorados.  When we got to the yellowtail grounds in the afternoon we found mucho wind.  It was blowing 25-30 knots right through the grounds we were planning on fishing so we fished elsewhere.  We found a little spot with some current before dark and we captured 6 cow yellows, we're talking 30-40 pounders, to go along with lots of 10-12 pounders and some bonito.  Action is what we call that.  We now have to head north and we'd like to find some dorado tomorrow.  It's going to be a bumpy/windy ride up tonight and we hope for it to back off tomorrow for our fishing and ride home.
 

Nov. 10

No fishing today - it was all catching. Wide open dorado, yellowfin, and 30 plus wahoo. Did not matter what you cast into the ocean - sardines, maggie bay mackeral, wahoo iron and bombs - it was all awesome.Big dorado of the 30 lb variety, wahoo up to 40 lb and 15 to 30 lb yellowfin. Constant "catching" all day with only breaks to tie on new hooks and leaders. The crew show'd their experience as 17 anglers, all hooked up at the same time with flying dorado all over the place, untangled, gaffed and tagged with seamless ease. Everyone is tired and happy and settling in after a fine dinner of seared wahoo with mango ginger sauce, risotto followed by blackberry pie ala mode. Whats next? Heading after big tuna tomorrow and hoping for more of the same. A big hello to Terra and Finn. and also a big hello to Allison from Jim.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-03-2019 We scratched out a few nice grade fish today. We had a couple grouper up to 40 pounds and a few hands full of 25 to 40 pound yellowtail. We have some great pictures of them but we were unable to upload them to the computer from our photo apparatus. We'll work on that and try to get you those pictures tomorrow. The weather and food is great and were hoping for a big hit tonight. I almost forgot we had two really nice 60 pound Wahoo to go with it. Be looking for their buddies tomorrow! Captain Ryan Bostian called in from the Coronado Islands at 1 PM to report LIMITS of Yellowtail. We have a light load of 12 anglers catch 60 Yellowtail. We are seeing really nice schools. Call Seaforth Landing at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Hello and good morning! We will be pulling into the dock in a couple of hours off of our 3 day open group. The fishing was tough and you had to work hard to put a fish on board. This group was one of the hardest fishing and courteous toward each other group I have ever fished with. Good job Katrina and Guy's . We will be at the dock for 3 days before resuming our season.
