townsville Fishing Report 2025

Captain Andrew Viola checked in this morning at 8:59 PM with an audio update from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA.  We have been drifting for an hour and have put together a good score so far.  We have 62 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Bluefin Tuna.  We are still drifting with fish around the boat.

We have a 1.5 day trip departing on Wednesday night.  We also have a full day trip on Sunday.  Come out fishing on the Pacifica!!!!

I have yet one more opportunity for someone to jump on with us on a great charter. This trip is a 2-day trip fishing Thurs. and Fri. June 19-20. This is a very light charter and only fishes with 12 or 15 people. If you are able to go, you might find yourself becoming a permanent part of a very special charter on a regular basis. Today our 24 anglers landed 7 bluefin tuna from 70-85 pounds. First time anglers, seasoned anglers, captains, crewmen and all the way up to our office personnel. Nobody is off limits when it comes to the frustration and lack of sleep that a bluefin can create. However, if you stick with it, come prepared and keep an open mind. You will eventually be rewarded with a fish of a lifetime.

Still plenty of room on tonight’s limited load 1 day trip aboard the Tribute. Trip is $230 and will be fishing for Bluefin, Yellowfin and Yellowtail. Make sure to bring gear from 25-80 pound, assorted fluorocarbon, jugs and sinkers.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. Today we had limits of Yellowtail and Bonito. The fishing was fantastic. We also caught and released even more fish. The loads are light and the fishing is excellent. Come join us on The San Diego!

Couple of long drifts with steady action produced 51 yellowfin tuna 96 skipjack tuna. 20 lb bait rod and a 40 lb bait rod.

Good evening everyone, Today we started off our Beck 5 day charter. We woke up pointed at a new area of water that has not been prospected yet. The day consisted of warm beautiful water, one kelp, and one boomer school of smaller yelllowfin tuna. The kelp had some great Dorado fishing to get everyone on the board. A truly great area of warm blue water. If there were more kelp or objects in the water it would have been interesting to see what they may have held. Our one boomer school of tuna was awesome to see, these tuna bit like crazy. Literally anything that hit the water from trolling jigs to bare gaffs they tried to eat! We only kept a couple each because we wanted to save room for larger fish, but it was a nice change of scenery seeing biting fish. Trying for yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme
