We had a pretty good day of yellowtail fishing today. It wasn't wide open and it wasn't slow either. Just some steady picking through out most of the day. It didn't rain so that was cool. I'm really drawing a blank on what to write here so I think I'll keep it short. There's nothing significant to tell you all about. Mark didn't wear the dunce helmet today and nobody fell in the water or told a good joke. Just some steady picking of the yellows. We're heading back to the bluefin grounds to give it another try at those beauts. The weather rolling up is just fantastic and we're expecting more of it tomorrow. Oh yeah! The seared bluefin we had for dinner tonight was very very good. It was paired with edaname, these super tasty green beans and some just delicious tasting mashed potatoes so there you have it. Sweet dreams all.

Aug. 6
    I'm back.  After taking the last trip off and spending some quality time with the fam I showed up this morning to meet the boat at 7:00 and was greeted by an impressive catch by the Chapparo group.  We did the turn around thing, got some bait and we were in the fishing grounds by 3:00 this afternoon.  It sounded like we missed most of the action while we were dockside.  It was mostly a morning bite.  We had a few stops this afternoon for over a fish per angler so we can't complain about fishing on a departure day.  We're currently drifting in nice weather and we'll be starting off here in the morning.  
                            

 

Another day of going toe to toe with Mike Tyson. When our corner finally threw in the towel we had 2 bluefin (135 & 85 lbs) and 4 yellowfin (25-30 lbs). If you do not own a 2 speed reel you can rent one from our landing before the trip.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-25-2019 We spent the day looking for yellowtail and only tied into a few. Truthfully most the day was spent dodging wind. Our ride was good but we had some serious offshore Santa Ana conditions. Will be spending all day tomorrow traveling up to San Diego it looks like it's going to be great weather. Will be into the dock on Sunday morning and be doing 17 days of boat work before we head back out again for eight days on November 14. Thanks for tuning in to see you then. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Today we were able to try our hand at Yellowtail. Fishing was far from easy.The Yellows ranged in size with some waves of fish being 8-12 lbs and other groups coming through in the 20 to 30 lb range. We did manage to set most of the smaller ones free and tag the bigger ones. Exciting day, but had to work for the larger fish. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme

We didn't have to go too far to get some good action on the albacore. Everyone hooked and landed some. Weather is good. We will head into blue fin territory tomorrow. Thanks for checking in.

Good evening everyone, Today we rolled up the beach on our last day of our A.H.I 8 day trip. The charter masters put together an amazing award ceremony with shirts, prizes, and trophies. This was the perfect way to end the trip along with a very nice dinner from chef Mike. Talk about next years trip was already in progress, and these anglers cant't wait to be back. Next year will mark their 25th A.H.I charter. This just goes to show the groups organization and passion for being on the water. This was a very well rounded trip with everything you could ask for, great weather, good fishing and most importantly, everyone had a great time with us. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-29-2018 We arrived at Guadalupe Island early after noon today. Within a few hours we were able to find excellent size schools of beautiful grade yellow fin tuna. It wasn't until the that they decided by. He stayed with them and drifted tell dark hooking about 15 yellowfin tuna. The landing ratio wasn't great but we had our shot. We are staying the night and definitely going to be here again tomorrow. We're very excited by the amount of fish we saw here today! The Polaris Supreme Crew
