21 pass. Full Mexican Limits of yellowtail and a few red rockcod. Yo yo jigs on 40 lb mono, surface iron on 40 lb mono and flyline bait on 20 or 25 lb. we’re all producing.

Hard to beat the day we had yesterday, but we did.

We improved the already outstanding trip we have going with a taste of wahoo. Found a little honey hole and caught a fair amount on several drifts. When that tried up a few hours later we anchored up and had good tuna fishing from three until dark. The tuna were 25-40 lbs with some in the 70 lb. class. We'll stay the night and will fish half day tomorrow.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning with an update form the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing. The boat is out today we haven’t heard from them yet. We caught 4 Bluefin Tuna over 100 pounds. This is once in a lifetime opportunity. We only have a handful of reservations for tomorrow. We are a definite go! Please be sure to be prepared with a heavy rod. We recommend at least a 50 pound outfit. You can also bring a lighter outfit for the Yellowtail. Listen to the audio for all tackle details. The big tuna are around and close! Be sure to have 80- 100lb gear ready with 130 LB leader so you land your fish of a lifetime! 

The last 1.5 Day produced this 190 lb beauty! 

"It's 1 O'Clock here & I think we have 10 Yellowtail on the boat." Ryan went on, "we're seeing them pretty good here this morning. These are very big fish, we have lost another 10 for sure. We had one stop where we hooked 4 and lost them all. That's just the way it goes with this sized fish. They are bigger today, about 25 pounders. Biting mainly to fly line bait, we have caught a couple fish on the yo-yo and on surface lures. But they are maily biting the fly lined bait. I'll give you a final talley on the way in. As of 1:00 PM I know we have at least 10 Yellowtail on the boat maybe a couple more. And we're still seeing them hook a few. I'll get back to you later.

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

Strung together a lot of short stops and ended with 45 yellowtail.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay.  We have been fishing offshore still.  We have had a lot of ups and downs.  We are seeing schools of Bluefin Tuna of various sizes.

We recommend a 20 pound outfit with 1 or 2 size live bait hooks with a fluorocarbon leader.  Bring a heavy rig to fish the big ones.
