Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay, CA. We had 18 passengers today catch 12 Bluefin Tuna (60 to 80 pounds). We landed 1/2 the fish we hooked today. We also caught 3 Yellowtail. We recommend the flat-fall jig with a two-speed reel loaded with spectra and a short 60 to 80 pound fluorocarbon leader. You have also be prepared with a 25 to 35 pound live bat outfit for the kelps.
13 yellowtail and plenty of assorted rockfish. Had a handful of shots at yellowtail today. Canceled for tomorrow and very light for the rest of the week. We need your reservations to run, call @seaforthlanding at (619)224-3383
22 yellowfin 5 bluefin. Saw some good schools today but they weren’t very eager. Hoping for an attitude adjustment tomorrow.
The bluefin fishing has stayed consistent. Everyday we get a few legitimate chances to catch this beautiful grade of fish. Along with the bluefin tuna we have been seeing good sign of yellowfin tuna as well. We have yet to get them to bite but it’s any day now they could get with !
