Polaris Supreme Trip Report 06-29 to 30-2016 Hi guys, sorry for the lack of a report yesterday. Yesterday was a tough day caused by the conditions and, especially the sea lions. On the other-hand, today is a hell of a lot better day. We have been steadily picking away at a phenomenal grade of yellowtail all day long. The yellows are eating anything from fly-line sardine and dropper-loop to the surface iron and yoyo jigs. Many people caught their limits today. As far as the plan for tomorrow, we will be trying something different. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

We are still seeing plenty of yellowtail at the Coronado Islands. Our counts for the past week have been anywhere from 3 to 48 yellowtail per trip. It seems like if you get around the right school at the right time they will bite. We have seen schools at just about every spot at the islands. Today we went out with 28 passengers and caught 12 yellows. The biggest fish today was a 36 pounder caught on a fly lined sardine. Most of our fish have been in the 20 pound class and have been taken on fly lined sardines on 25 lb. and yo-yo jigs on 40 lb. The weather has been absolutely perfect. We are running everyday. Capt Ryan called in from the San Diego a 3/4 day, we are still fishing offshore and the fishing hass been great. We depart at 5:30am and we have been averaging from 50 to 140 Yellowfin Tuna per trip, our slowest day this week was 46 Yellowfin and today we had 69 Yellowfin and 150 Skipjack. Yesterday we had 136 Yellowfin, we will continue everyday as long as the fishing stays good. There is plenty of warm water around and it looks like it will be here for a while, so we will continue offshore for a while. There is plenty of good fishing when you find the right kelp, trips run $145 per angler and we depart everyday at 5:30am. Come on down and get in on the action.

A four hour drift, followed by 2 quick stops resulted in 39 bluefin from 30-60 lbs and 28 yellowfin from 20-50 lbs. staying at the rail and fishing either a flyline sardine on 30 or 40 lb. A 60-100 gram colt sniper or flatfall or a 2-4 oz torpedo sinker with a 1/0 or 2/0 circle hooks is the name of the game. Keep em wet !

Today we scoured the zone we had been seeing our tuna and today they were nowhere to be found. Hoping they show themselves again tomorrow. 16 yellowtail 3 dorado 59 bonito 1 skipjack.

Yesterday we went out with 26 anglers. Final fish count for our day was 2 lingcod 2 sheephead 75 red rockcod and full Mexican limits of rockfish. Our next trip is Sunday February 10. Call Seaforth Sportfishing at 619-224-3383 for reservations.
