yellow lake wi Fishing Report 2025

Something a little bit different for the first day of our 2 day charter. 26 Yellowtail so far with a few fat ones this morning up to 30 pounds and some Calicos to go with it.

Ryan Bostian checked in from “The San Diego” this afternoon with an update from Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. The Bluefin Tuna are 20 to 120 pounds. Please make sure you are prepared. The Yellowtail are 5 to 10 pounds. Please bring one light rod and one heavy rod. A light rod would be 25 pound or 30 pound test. A heavy rod should be nothing less than 40 pound outfit a 50 or 60 would be better. The Bluefin are biting on a flat fall jig. A perfect out fit for he flat fall jig would be a Talica 12 filled up with 65 pound spectra with a short top shot of 80 pound fluorocarbon. Today we had Captain Cameron running the boat. He had a very respectable day offshore in a crowded ocean. FISH COUNT: 56 anglers caught 2 Bluefin Tuna and 52 Yellowtail.

 Today was just slow. There is no way to sugar coat it so I won't try. The wrong kelps had no fish, the right kelps had no fish. We had a pretty good spread of boats working it with us too but it was a no go. We gave up on the offshore thing in the afternoon and tried to salvage a day at an Island but it didn't work out. Poor sign of fish with a great sign of seal.

 We're going to regroup and try again tomorrow. We're thinking a nice nights sleep on anchor should do the trick. Hopefully I have some good news for you tomorrow.
 

The San Diego would like to thank everyone for a Great Year! We had very good fishing for a variety of species including: Yellowtail, Bluefin Tuna, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna and more. We are hauling out tomorrow and will be doing maintenance for a couple weeks in the dry dock. We will then finish up at the dock at Seaforth. We will most likely run a few trips during Christmas Holiday and we anticipate being online next year for Winter Yellowtail fishing. Thanks again!!!!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23 and 24-2016 We don't have much to report for the last two days just travel days with a tad bit of fishing. We caught one halibut, we had great weather, we ate a bunch of good food, took a bunch of naps, broke down our tackle, and tomorrow morning we're going to be into San Diego at 730 and unload a beautiful catch of Wahoo yellowtail and yellowfin tuna! Thanks for tuning in this trip we will be leaving tomorrow afternoon at 6 PM on a 1 1/2 day trip fishing on Monday. 40 bluefin 14 yellowfin. Steady stop and go action. Small jigs like the Shimano colt sniper and flat fall or a rubber banded sinker rig both fished on 40-60lb line were top producers.

San Diego regulars Eli Malfavon and Elmer Mun display a couple nice yellowfin they landed in our all day drift. We stopped the boat once for 103 yellowfin and 27 skipjack.

Hello Everyone, We just departed on our annual AHI charter. Defiantly a great group of anglers who know how to have a little fun with each as well as put some fish on the boat. At the moment we have the outdoor speaker system hooked up and secure, a beautiful load of bait aboard, and the Supreme pointed south eagerly steaming to our destination.
