20 pass. 33 yellowtail plenty of reds and rockfish. Yo yo lures were the top producers however we did catch a few on flyline sardines and surface iron.

Captain Aliyar checked in with this report today:

19 Bluefin Tuna in the 80-120 lb. range. Few openings left this month, get booked now, so you don't miss out.April has 8 openings on if you want to come on that and then we have some open a day and half for the trip. So you guys want to come fishing give Lindsay a call 619-736-3420 going to help you out with any questions. You have any light or you can go on a Polaris Supreme TR4 schedule. So good sign of fish. We'd love to have you out there, but we'll see you on the list.

We are gearing up for our upcoming 7-10 day trips down south. Ready to get our masks on and pull on some fish.

Capt Ryan Bostain checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing, we went out with 43 anglers today and ended the day with 120 Yellowtail. Today they were from 12 to 28 lbs, with an average around 15 lbs, today they bit mostly on the surface with either a flylined bait or surface iron. We did also manage to get some on the yoyo jig, the ocean is alive down there. Come on down and get you some, make sure you bring a rig for every occasion. See you on the boat.

Good evening everyone, We spent the day traveling up the line through some snotty weather. However it did ease up after dinner. Hopefully we have the makings for a nice night of sleep tonight before our 530 am eta tomorrow morning. This was a tough trip but everyone kept their head up and persisted through and fished hard the entire time. Although we only had a few windows of biting fish we made the most out of it. There were many familiar faces on this charter and many new faces who decided to join us. We enjoyed having all of you out with us and look forward to seeing you out with us net year. Captain Mike Pritchard called in at grey light from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We caught 2 Bluefin Tuna at grey light. We have one fish hanging.  Yesterday morning I was looking at the positions and forecasts of positions and conditions of hurricane Odile and it sure looked to me like we'd be able to go around it that night.  So after consulting with Tommy, he did some research and he agreed.  And by dark yesterday I was 95 percent sure we could do it.  Not enough.  We need 100 percent out here.  So we headed straight west most of the night until I got an update on the storm at 2:00 am which made me 100 percent sure we could easily make it around the storm.  So we hung a left and we've been traveling all day heading for Alijos Rocks.  We had some choppy weather this morning but we couldn't tell by our ride because we were going with it.  Down swell = a good ride.  The weather is nice now that I write this and we're expecting the same the next few days at least.

 We usually expect a couple travel days on an 8 day trip and today was one of ours.  We did try really hard though to find a nice big dorado kelp but we were unsuccessful.  The only kelps we found weren't big enough to hold a school of mahi.  So we'll have to do it tomorrow or the next day.  Or the next, OK.  We'll be concentrating on wahoo first thing tomorrow. We'll be saying our wahoo prayers tonight.  I'll check back later.
         

Captain Ryan Bostian called in late last night with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We have been fishing offshore the last four trips. Four days ago we had 44 Yellowfin Tuna Then we had 27 Yellowfin Tuna Yesterday we had 7 Yellowfin Tuna Then today we had 44 Yellowfin Tuna Decent fishing. There is a lot of fish around. What is working 20 pound mono with 20 fluro. We also recommend having a a 30 or 40 pound outfit ready to go also. We are using size one or two live bait hooks, small poppers and flat fall jigs are also working. We are scheduled fishing Offshore tomorrow and Wednesday. Then we have 3 charters in a row but will be back OPEN PARTY .
