White Bear Lake Fishing Report

05/27/2025 was much better! overcast but warmer at 15 degrees. went out with some friends and we caught a bunch of little perch. nothing huge but fun to reel in. used some small jigs and they were biting all day! we even had some laughs, best fishing trip in a while.

05/17/2025 was super chilly and overcast, like 7 degrees! still managed to drag out a couple of small pike, but only on soft plastics, they were super picky today. wind was howling at 27kph and i was shivering. i love fishing, but today was a struggle!

so 05/16/2025 was a bit of a washout, literally. heavy rain hit hard, but i still went out. caught a small bass, like 1lb or so, while trying to stay dry under a tree. couldn’t feel my hands after a bit lol! guess i’ll have to wait for better weather.

05/11/2025 was sunny and beautiful at white bear lake! i took my dad out, and we caught a few bass, biggest one was 3.5lbs. used a topwater frog, they were smashing it! the weather was perfect for fishing, but the wind picked up later in the afternoon. the sunset was unreal too, great day overall!

had a good time on 05/07/2025! partly cloudy and not too windy. i used a jigging spoon and caught 5 nice sunnies, best one was about 1.5 lbs. they were hanging around the submerged logs. didn’t realize how hungry they were today, had a blast out there! thinking of heading back this weekend.
