went out to the Sac River this morning, and wow, it was a beauty day! sunny skies and a nice breeze, perfect for fishing. got on the water at around 6 AM, and it was so peaceful. started with my go-to spinning rod and a light tackle setup, 10lb test line with a simple worm rig. in about an hour I pulled in a solid 5lb striper, totally gave me a fight. felt so good to be out there. caught another smaller one right after, and then things went quiet for a bit. ended the day with just those 2 but man, it was worth it just to be outside. the sunset was stunning too. can’t wait to head back out soon!
