2651After a juicy prime rib dinner and a movie last night, the guys were fast asleep. Today after breakfast we did our tuna and wahoo fishing seminars. After lunch we spent the afternoon reading, leaders, rods, reels, and putting together a few spare gaffs. Our bait looks beautiful and the weather going down great. There is a couple of guys who couldn't make it this year that we already miss being around. Charlie we miss you doing laps. Hope your wife is doing well. And Jimmy, Javier said today would have been a great day for bean soup! Our evening consisted of chicken Cordon Blue, another movie and back to bed. Tomorrow we may do a little fishing for meals and hors d'oeuvres. We will let you know how it goes.January 15, 2025 venice fl Fishing Report
1038Putting away the Bluefin gear for now. Our sights are set on warm water fish next. Possibly Wahoo or Yellowtail! Glassy seas and great weather here traveling down on our Beck / Emerson / Wagstaff 7 day! 1236Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-22-2016 Today fared out to be a very productive day for our efforts. From shortly after sunrise clear til the end of the day, we kept a pretty consistent bite going. There was a couple lulls here and there, but all and all, there wasn't much down time to lose interest. The grade of fish was more than acceptable, staying pretty consistent at he 15-20 lb range. Not much more to ask for usually always having a least a couple going. With that type of fishing, there were very few fish lost due to tangles and so forth. All and all there was no complaints. Tonight we head out to see what tomorrow brings. We'll check back in tomorrow and until then, this is the Supreme Crew out. It was a slow day out here today for us. It was a slow day for many. But of course it depends on who you talk to, some might say it was a great day. It all depended on which school you found. Just like it's been, most schools don't produce, but the few lucky ones do. We didn't find the lucky one. Our best school was for 20. But no matter who you ask, it was a slow afternoon today. After lunch, we didn't find a school till after 6:00. We're due.The weather today was awesome. Again. We're going to drift out here tonight and try it again tomorrow. I thought about doing something different, like hunting bluefin, but it hasn't been very good and our plan B., that being San Clemente island is closed tomorrow darnit. Plus these yellowfin we're catching are just too beautiful. Such a nice grade.
One more day. We're due. It won't take much more to get 200 of these things for the trip. 200 of these things would be nice.
