truman lake long shoal Fishing Report 2024

Today was a tough day at the island. There was a lot of fish around but we had trouble getting bites. However the bites we were able to get were great grade. Most being 50-70 lbs and one standout that was well into the mid hundreds. We are going to try our hand at the variety the day after tomorrow. Hopefully Wahoo, Dorado, Grouper, and school sized tuna. Couple of long drifts with steady action produced 51 yellowfin tuna 96 skipjack tuna. 20 lb bait rod and a 40 lb bait rod.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this morning with SDFR with an update from "the San Diego" out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we are back fishing at the Coronado Islands. We have 10 nice grade Yellowtail on the boat so far as of 10:55 AM. The fish are in the 15 to 23 pound size. The San Diego runs full day trips departing at 5:30 every morning!

Hello there Polaris Supreme fans,

                                              Today was another travel day for us, this morning we had or seminar on fishing for giant YFT.  The crew went over fly lining, big bait , jig fishing, sinker rig, and kite fishing. We also handed out all the loaner gear and the guys started rigging up. Around 1600 we made a drive by the Rocks and found two 25 lb YFT willing to bite the jigs now we have fresh tuna for tomorrow nights dinner! Speaking of dinner its about time for me to go get ready for dinner so until tomorrow tight lines!!
