early morning fog at truman, super cool vibe! used a topwater frog and wow, it was on fire! caught 4 bass all around 3 lbs. the fog lifted a bit later and it turned into a great day overall. loving this time of year for fishing!
went to the lake today but it was pouring! i brought my lighter bait rod, hoping for some action, but all i got was soaked! caught one small bass, like a 2 pounder, but that was it. packed up early, def not a good day fishing.
back to truman lake on a rainy day, felt like déjà vu! fished in the morning and caught 2 nice channel cats. honestly, fishing in the rain is kinda peaceful sometimes, just me and nature. but wow, gear got soaked hehe. still a good day, hope the rain clears!
what a soggy day fishing! rain came down hard again at truman lake. only got 1 bass, wasn't even worth the trouble. tried a few different baits but they just weren't biting. thinking i might wait a bit till the weather clears up before hitting the water again.
overcast day today but still managed to catch a couple of catfish. used stink bait on the bottom, and they were biting! felt good to land a nice 5 lb cat. wind was a bit strong tho, made it hard to cast correctly. still a good time out on the lake.
