man, what a day on the water! hit the St. Augustine area around 7 this mornin', right before sunrise. weather was pretty steamy and those thunder clouds were loom'n but we rolled the dice. the fish were biting like crazy! I was using a trusty old popping cork with live shrimp and landed a couple reds, both around 22-24 inches. we also got lucky with a nice flounder, maybe 3 lbs? had a few missed strikes when the wind picked up a bit, but overall, it was worth it. nothing beats the thrill of a good catch despite the stormy skies. oh, and the sunset was gorgeous on the way back in, just made the whole trip feel epic. can’t wait to hit it again tomorrow! 🎣
