skiatook Fishing Report 2024

Stopped the boat on multiple schools of tuna. Unfortunately they were still in a funk. When it was all said and done we landed 4 yellowfin. Back at it tomorrow.

Good evening everyone, Today we started off the day in kelp land. Finding many nice kelps along a nice water color break. One in particular held a slew of different game fish. Dorado, Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Tuna. Most of them where on the small side, but it was still great fun catching such a variety of fish. Later on we were able to slide inside and finish off the day with some coastal Yellowtail. It was great ending the day with a nice hit on the Yellowtail. Biting the iron very well, adding to the fall 10 day variety pack. We are pointed north at the moment trying to cover some ground to make it in on time Wednesday morning. We departed today on Eric Rogger's annual 5day trip. We have an excellent group of anglers onboard and picked up some great looking bait. The fishing prospects are looking good and we are anxious to go. We started rolling down to Cedros dinning on some terrific beef and shrimp kabobs, in some great weather. Last trip Drew got some huge yellowtail there. But reports from the albacore grounds got a lot more interesting so we did a 150 degree right turn and headed for the albacore. We will be there tomorrow at daylight. Fishing sounds really good.

Hey everyone, Today was our fourth and final full day of fishing down south. We started off the morning looking for wahoo. It did not take long before we found a nest of hungry 'hoos. We made a few passes over them and picked off a handful each time. We even had a few marlin mixed in with the wahoo that put on quite a show. By the late morning the wahoo bite slowed down and we began to look around for other signs of life. It did not take long before we found a large school of yellowfin and they stayed with us until the sun went down, with 2-5 fish hanging the whole time they kept us plenty busy all afternoon. With sore arms and smiles on everyone's faces we sat down for dinner and enjoyed a delicious plate of fresh fish, thanks to the charter master who generously donated one of his fish. With a couple hours of fishing time left for the trip we are going to spend it looking for yellowtail as we begin to make our way north back to San Diego. Until next time, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme trip report 11-25-18. We departed today on a six-day Guadalupe trip. We got out with a nice load of bait that we already had on board left over from last trip. We literally checked in our passengers and loaded and left. A nice early start! The previous seven days we were out for a private seven-day trip to go fish Wahoo! It was an absolute hundred percent success we came in a day early. Here are a few pictures of some of the folks in their catch. We will be out at Guadalupe Island by 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and looking to tie and to some hundred pounders. Wish us luck! The Polaris Supreme Crew.

Hello everyone, Today we started out our six day trip locally. There was excellent sign of 20-30lb Yellowfin tuna. However they did not cooperate that well. We are headed west in search of larger Bluefin. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme

 Hello all and welcome back.  Or welcome me back or... you know what I mean.  I'm back.  5 days off and I'm back on the water and reporting to you.  I met the boat at the dock at 6:30 in the morning and was pleased to see the stern deck loaded up with tuna.  A good catch they had.  Well we off loaded everything and everyone, went and changed oil and put enough fuel on board to last us a while and left on our Bogart construction 2 day charter.  We got a good enough jump to fish a few hours before dark in the latest hot tuna zone but hot it was not.  The fishing there in the morning was good but it took a dump late morning and on.  We wound up catching 3 tuna before dark.  Obviously we're hoping for a good morning tomorrow and we're also hoping the bite stays on for longer then it did today.
