fished shenango on the 28th and wow it was cold! brought the wrong gear - froze my butt off. hooked a nice little bass, around 2lbs, but that was the only highlight. gonna wait for the weather to warm up before i try again!
went back to the lake on the 27th, it was overcast again. caught a couple of panfish, nothing huge, but they were biting on worms. had to keep my jacket on, though, it was super windy. just nice to be outside, even when fishing isn’t that hot.
man, it was chilly out on the 20th! only got a few bites, but managed to reel in a small catfish. water was really low, windy too, made casting kinda tough. guess not every trip is a winner, but hey, better than sitting at home!
hit shenango again on the 12th, overcast but i don’t mind. caught a nice rainbow trout, maybe 15 inches? was using a spinner with some kind of silver blade. slow day overall, but one good catch is all i need to keep me happy!
finally got a break in the weather on the 11th, it was partly cloudy, perfect to hit the lake! only caught 3 bass but they were solid, around 2-3 pounds each. used a crankbait in silver, worked wonders. can’t wait for the next trip!
