7 yellowtail 109 calico bass 63 barracuda. Plenty of bites but with the lack of yellowtail we have decided to head offshore starting tomorrow. We recommend having a 20-30lb rod for kelps and smaller grade tuna and another rod with 40-60lb preferably with a 2 speed reel for fish over 50lbs. Flourocarbon is always recommended when we are offshore. Be prepared to fish flylined baits, sinker rigs and flat falls.

Hello everyone, Today we spent the day Wahoo fishing. It was a pretty slow day, conditions were poor and the current was not happening in our favor. We scoured the grounds for only a few Wahoo and Dorado. There were a few Marlin mixed in as well. Defiantly not good enough to keep us here tomorrow. We are off to try for tuna tomorrow. Hello everyone, Today we had a nice day of fishing. We checked out a few spots for nothing, trolled up a Wahoo, and found a dead Dolphin. The Dolphin was holding a sea of Dorado. It was as much as you wanted. The grade was slightly larger than the fish up north. Defiantly a bite to get our blood flowing after 2 days of driving. Hopefully we can find some more Wahoo tomorrow. We also caught a Sierra, a rare fish to catch on a long range boat, but very common in the Sea Of Cortez and closer to shore. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

The offshore beat goes on! Funny how things just seem to work out when you try as hard as possible and keep a positive outlook. 2 weeks ago when the fleet received word that we had to check in at Ensenada in order to fish the Mexican coast. Many boat owners including myself were very concerned about the remainder of the 2012 season. With our backs against the wall and very little options we headed offshore. Our first few trips we scratched at bluefin tuna and yellowtail.

In the past five days we have been averaging 20-40 mixed fish, a nice mix of dorado and yellowtail. Today we had a very welcome visit from an 18 lb. albacore. While the political issues concerning the Mexican coast are being worked on we will continue to fish offshore. These offshore trips are 5:30-7:00 and are limited to 50 passengers cost is $115 and includes a fishing license. Past history shows that the offshore bite should only improve for us as we move deeper into the summer and into fall. Come join us!

Sept. 28

Another beautiful day on the Polaris Supreme. Nothing to report really other then great weather, great food and great company. Today we did our wahoo seminar, some light rigging of tackle, and a lot of good old fashioned relaxation. There were some naps, some reading, and a cocktail hour or two and I smelled and partook in some cigar smoking. Mmm, mmm, mmm. We did a little bit of trolling for not much. A couple small tuna not worth keeping and Brian caught Jody a nice dorado. After dinner we made a few drifts for giant squid for not much. We caught some but we want more so we'll try again tomorrow night. Until then we will do more of the same that you read above while we travel down.

Hello gang, Well we just finished up our first few days of maintenance. On Monday January 7th we will have our annual Coast Guard inspection. As of right now I plan to be shut down till the end of the month. Sometime around the 1st of February we will resume fishing. I will keep you posted. Capt. Ryan Bostian
