Hello Everyone,
Today we targeted yellowtail.Unfortunately there was no current. The lack of current made fishing difficult. We did manage to pick off a couple of Yellowfin tuna and a few Dorado. In addition to that we caught some nice Lingcod and Rockfish in the meantime.
We will spend our last day trying for that school grade bluefin.
Wish us luck!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-03-2016
Today was departure day for our Simpatico five day charter with Vernon Burke as our charter head. We got off early without a hitch and picked up some nice bait at the bait receivers. We should make the fishing grounds by 6 PM this afternoon and be able to fish a hour and a half and before dark. We will probably be fishing the large grade Bluefin this trip that is out west of San Diego. This grade of fish is a beautiful size it is 50 to 100 pounds most of it right around 80. This should really test our anglers fishing skills.
Wish us luck the Polaris supreme crew.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update regarding the Passports! We are going to be fishing offshore for Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail.
Mexican immigration has just informed us that every passenger will need a passport to fish the Coronado islands. Tomorrows trip will be an offshore US waters trip targeting bluefin and yellowtail. If you don't have a passport you should start the paperwork.
If you plan on fishing in Mexican Territorial waters you will be required to have a passport. That means if you are at the Islands or within 12 miles of the Mexican Coast. Passports will not be required for Offshore Trips fishing more than 12 miles from the Mexican Coast.
The San Diego will be fishing offshore for awhile until our passengers can get passports. However, we will eventually return to fishing at the Coronado Islands.

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're off to a great start here this morning. We made a move down to the Yellowfin grounds that really paid off. We have over 150 Yellowfin tuna on the boat this morning. To that you can add 150 Yellowtail. We'll keep you updated as the day progresses.
"We're leaving on a 1 Day trip tomorrow night. I know some Bluefin have been caught locally. It's a good time to go fishing. There is still very good fishing to be had. Hope to see you on the water."
