San Diego regular Chris Perez and friend show off a couple of 15 pounders.  Don’t let this phenomenal late season action pass you by.  103 yellowtail, 54 bonito, and 2 halibut.

Awesome fishing once again for these butterball Yellowfin. 110 Yellowfin and 8 Skipjack for our 24 Angler’s today in some of the most epic weather of the season.

Ryan Bostian called in with this report for the San Diego. "We went out on an offshore fishing trip with 18 anglers. We caught full Mexican limits of Yellowtail. We had limits real early in this trip. It took us 2 or 3 kelps to catch the limits. We spent the rest of the day looking around for Tuna or Dorado. We managed to catch 6 Dorado. We saw some Bluefin tuna but we were unable to get it to bite. Things are looking good down here guys. We're fishing 20 to 40 miles from home. The fishing action is right in our wheelhouse in terms of distance.

Mike Pritchard called in this morning with this report for the Tribute. "We've had a very nice start here this moring. A couple of kelps have been absolutely fantastic. Great Yellowtail fishing to go along with some Yellowfin and Dorado. We caught 160 Yellowtail out of 2 drifts. A lot of the fish were caught on surface irons, swimbait and even poppers.

"We are now targeting some tuna or maybe some Dorado. We'll keep you informed."

Good evening everyone, We spent the day traveling up the line through some snotty weather. However it did ease up after dinner. Hopefully we have the makings for a nice night of sleep tonight before our 530 am eta tomorrow morning. This was a tough trip but everyone kept their head up and persisted through and fished hard the entire time. Although we only had a few windows of biting fish we made the most out of it. There were many familiar faces on this charter and many new faces who decided to join us. We enjoyed having all of you out with us and look forward to seeing you out with us net year. Hi friends. Our first day of the Garry Roberts 9-day adventure found us conveniently traveling right through the Bluefin/Yellowfin zone first thing this morning, so we decided to give it a try for a few hours and then we would continue on with our southerly travels. We managed to troll up a few Yellowfin and we also found a couple spots of 12-18 lb. Bluefin that bit quite well for a short time. After tagging some fish and capturing a handful for the galley guys to sashimi up, we continued on with our journey down to greater points south. A nice warm-up for the guys and a nice break in the long travel days on 9-day tripsthat usually go without even wetting a line for a couple of days. The gang appreciated it very much and were stoked with the outcome of some fresh sashimi for the next few days.

After the fishing was all said and done, we gathered everyone into the galley for our tackle seminar. Another thing fishing this morning was good for was to get a gauge on whether or not the gang remembered the fishing procedures we employ here on the Polaris Supreme. To say they passed with flying colors is an understatement but we called the troops into the galley for the seminar anyways and with one look around the tables and salon area, it was apparent that an in-depth seminar was not needed not only because all of the passengers are on this very trip year after year but because half of the anglers began taking full advantage of the seminar with a good nap. All of the passengers on-board are Polaris Supreme veterans of many years, and I mean all of the passengers. These guys know what's up so we made quick work of the seminar and began the tackle rigging, eating, watching movies, reading, various maintenance projects, and napping. Awesome traveling weather made for a relaxing, laid back day of preparation and last minute check-ups.

As for tomorrow, we'll be offshore looking at some interesting looking water temperature breaks for kelp paddies, porpoise, breezers, and any other signs of life holding Yellowfin, Wahoo, Dorado, and Yellowtail. The weather forecast looks good and we're excited about the prospects of tomorrow. Wish us luck and we'll report back to you tomorrow.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had very good fishing for Yellowtail at the Coronado Islands. We group ended up with 61 Yellowtail and 10 Barracuda. We did have 4 small Yellowtail that we released. So we had a total of 65 Yellowtail today.

The Yellowtail were biting on surface iron, fly-lined baits, and yo-yo jigs. Today we had 6 or 7 good shots at the fish.

Here is my squid report regarding the 2 squid jigs I purchased at the Candy Catcher booth in Long Beach. Went out of Seaforth Landing on the New Seaforth Monday night. We were done in about 1.5 hours ... all the squid you wanted. Started off slow, but within 30 minutes it was wide open. I used the Candy Catcher gold colored 1.5 pound jig it was perfect. I like the action of it sinking compared to the longer jigs. I had both types and tried yours and compared to the other Monster jig. Your's did perform better when squid fishing was slow, but when it was wide, well you know the story from there. I did not lose a squid with your jig and fished buttoned down on my 2 speed. Robert
