last trip at the lake was on an overcast day again, pretty chilly! caught a few trout but they were super skittish. tried out some spoons but no luck. eventually went back to powerbait and got a couple decent ones, maybe around 2 lbs each. overall, coulda been better but still nice to be outdoors.
partly cloudy day and pretty pleasant overall! caught a bunch of sunfish, they were biting like crazy! used some plastics on jig heads, which worked wonders. best catch was around 3 lbs, my arms were tired by the end of it! such a fun day.
fishing was slow today, cloudy and a bit windy, made it hard to cast. only caught a couple small ones, around 2lbs each. got frustrated but at least the scenery was nice. next time, I’ll check the weather better!
hit the lake today, overcast again. water felt colder than the other days tho. my buddy caught a nice bass, maybe 4 lbs on a crankbait. we were using light gear, it was a challenge for sure. pretty quiet day overall but still nice being out!
went back to santa ana river lakes, same kinda weather as yesterday. managed to catch a few bluegill, nothing big but still fun. 2-3 lbs. used my new fly rod, was a blast! they were all over the place, just had to find the right spot
