Saluda River Fishing Report

fishing in the fog this morning was surreal! couldn’t see much but the fish were biting! caught 2 nice largemouths on a dark colored plastic worm. really weird but super cool vibe! gotta love the saluda, just can’t get enough of this place.

back at the river again. overcast again but the temp was nice. caught a few smallies, nothing huge but still fun. used a spinner and they were all over it. nice to relax out there, just me and nature. hoping for some sun next time!

today was wild, downpour and all. still, we managed to pull out some nice catches, even got a big ol’ catfish! used a bobber rig with worms. my buddy got a nice 10 lb one too. super windy and wet but we had fun, that’s what counts!

went out with a couple buddies on the river, rain hit us hard but we stayed out! ended up catching 5 decent bass. i used a chartreuse crankbait and it worked wonders. the rain made it tricky but ya know, the fish don't care! had a blast!

back to the saluda today, another overcast day. not much action at first but then i switched to a black jig and bam! caught a really nice 18 inch bass! felt good to haul that one in. my arms still feel it haha. hope for better weather next time tho.
