patchy rain today but decided to give it a shot anyway. not a ton of luck, just a small walleye, tried some jigs and spoons but nothing impressive. water's still a bit cool, maybe they’ll bite better when it warms up more. headin back next week for sure tho!
cloudy, kinda gloomy on the river today. temp was around 10 degrees, really hitting those slow days. only got a couple small bites, ended up with just one little perch. used a light tackle setup, but wasn’t much action. sometimes ya just gotta enjoy the quiet tho, ya know?
what a wet day on the river. heavy rain at times, but i managed to get a few bites. caught some decent size trout, biggest was a solid 2.5 lbs. it was a bit of a challenge with the weather but the thrill kept me going. using worms and spinners, they kinda liked the worms better today.
sunny day, finally! made my way to the river, the fish were on fire! ended up landing like 10 bass, mostly 1-2 lbs but my buddy got a 4 lb one! used a topwater lure, and they were just jumping all over it. even seen some folks picnicking near by. just a perfect day!
fished rifle river early in the morn, it was chilly! only 6.9 degrees, pretty rough start. did get a couple small bass, but nothing big. tried crankbaits and worms but they weren't biting hard. just nice to be out there, gonna wait for it to warm up a bit before heading back.
