73 yellowfin tuna 3 skipjack tuna. We were minutes away from bailing on our area after our first 3 schools swam away without biting. The words from my old boss Ed McEwen “never leave fish to find fish” once again proved to be spot on. A cooperative school late in the day made all of our frustration fade away.

Hello everyone, Sorry for the delayed report, the weather was so rough that I had trouble keeping the keyboard at my fingertips! Now the weather has smoothed out temporally. Our final day of fishing was a nice day of mixed fish. With Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Yellowfin Tuna. It was a nice surprise catching these yellowtail and yellowfin tuna pushing 40 lbs! A nice grade of fish we have not seen here in some time. We are headed up now and will be in tomorrow morning bright and early. Team Supreme

Ryan Bostian called in to give his report for fishing at the Coronado Islands. He reported that the Islands have seen a huge invasion of Squid over the last 11/12 days. The squid in turn have attracted a number of fish. Including 25 to 45 lb. Yellowtail & 25 to 65 lb. White Seabass. They are also seeing a lot of Sand Bass & Barracuda. Just a lot of fish. Hi friends. We just wrapped up an epic day and a half trip this morning. Drew really set the stage for this two-day trip that we departed on this afternoon.

On Thursday, we landed 16 bluefin before we even rubbed the boogers out of our eyes and from there we picked and scratched on various jig strikes on yellowfin and kelp paddy fish. A little after lunch, Gunny spotted a kelp that wrapped up our day on yellowfin and dorado. Awesome fishing in flat calm weather. Beautiful. The "blackhawk" strikes again. It really was a fantastic trip and we're hoping for more of the same tomorrow. Oh yeah, we also caught 4 slug albacore. Call Susan and book your spots for 2013 ASAP! Do it.

To say we were disappointed with our results on this beautiful 20+ ft kelp would be an understatement. This sweaty Betty was located in the same water as yesterday’s small kelp that kicked out limits of dorado. Mother Ocean humbles us once again. 5 yellowtail, 2 dorado, 2 bonito.
