pismo beach Fishing Report 2024

April 17 & 18, 2013

Wednesday (the 17th) we had 10-11 Tuna in the 110-197 lb range and 12 wahoo. This morning we so far we have 8 tuna in the same range as yesterday, and 2 wahoo. Conditions are still good and we are having fun with the kite fishing. Yesterday we had some wind, and today's forecast is to be more, but so far we are having good weather. Hope it keeps up.

From 8:00 am till 4:00 pm we were either stopped on bluefin or driving towards jumping bluefin. When we pumped out the RSW we had 17 bluefin and 2 yellowtail. Flylined sardines on 25-40 lb with a size 2-2/0 bait hook was the top producer.

TERRIFIC 1.5 TRIP!!! APOLLO on a 1.5 trip to Colonett with 25 anglers took in 48 Lingcod, 29 Yellows & 125 Rockfish. That's great winter fishing!!! We're now getting reservations for February. They will go fast. Boat will be departing every Friday night. Cost of the trips is $225 including Mexican permit. Book now before they're gone. The heroes behind the scene! If you have fished with us then you have more than likely met the Fishermans Landing Red shirt crew. These guys play a huge role when it comes to having a successful Long Range Fishing trip. From landing maintenance to cheerfully helping load you on your Long Range fishing trip. These hardworking men make our boat, landing, and fleet second to none and deserve some recognition. From everyone here at Team Supreme we would like to thank you for everything you guys do!

9 yellowtail and plenty of shallow water white meat. Private charter tomorrow then back to open party Tuesday-Thursday.

We spent the morning finishing rigging up everyone's gear for tomorrow. We arrived the days fishing grounds just after lunch and spent a little time looking around before finding a little nest of wahoo. We caught a handful and lost that many right away and thought "this is alright". That was the last of the wahoo we saw. All the small yellowtail you could ever want but that's not what we were in search of so we are now sliding down to be in the tuna grounds tomorrow. Wish us luck please.

Saturday April 13

(report from the office)

We arrived at Hurricane Bank at 4pm and started fishing. The seven anglers on board landed 29 wahoo by dusk. After dinner they went back out for an evening bite that lasted until 3am and picked up 27 tuna ranging from 90 - 198 lbs. Three that were estimated over 200 lbs were lost. There is lots of life around here and our weather is really great. Richie is keeping a detailed daily log and will post it when we start back home.
