oklahoma wildlife Fishing Report 2025

We spent all day looking for kelps and never saw a single scrap. Not a single scrap. One beautiful wahoo on the troll late and that was all we tagged. We will be anchoring up Alijos Rocks early morning trying for a night bite and try for tuna and skin during the day.

Capt Mike Pritchard on the Tribute just called in from their 1.5 day trip sponsored by Okuma/Savage Gear, fishing was great. Lingcod was not quite as good as before, we ended up with 56 for the trip and limits of rockfish along with some sheephead and whitefish. The weather was the nicest he has seen and made it hard to get some good drifts in. Hello Everyone, We had a nice day of travel today. Mainly rigged up and took care of some chores. The guys were able to wet a line once today on a single kelp. There was a lot of Dorado on the kelp but none wanted to bite. However we did land a nice Yellowtail. We will be on the hunt for more Yellows in the morning. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Hi friends. Tough day on the Bluefin grounds for us. We got on a spot around breakfast time and boated a kill box full of those school-sized Bluefins but after that, we never found anything worthy of our time and effort. With that, we bailed from the area and made a move to lower latitudes. The rest of our day was spent hitting various kelp paddies for mostly "neck tie" Yellowtail but we also found ourselves in a couple of stops on Common Dolphin for some 18 lb. Yellowfin tunas that hit the trolling feathers. All in all, it wasn't quite what we had hoped for but with the great weather we had going for us we gave it our all and the gang kept in high spirits throughout our day.

With that, we're headed down to do some Yellowtail fishing tomorrow. We'll see what happens. We'd like to get outside and get on some of that Yellowfin tuna that is biting a little bit but timing wise hitting the yellow's first fits in better. We'll chat with you tomorrow and have a fine evening.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in tonight with an update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA.  Sorry for the late report tonight.  We found a school of Bluefin on the way home and let them have it!  We ended our day with 9 Bluefin and 18 kelp grade yellowtail.

During these later trips the Tuna definitely got bigger. In addition the sharks have been non existent! Love those conditions!
