Captain Andrew Viola called in today at 10:33 AM with update from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay.  We returned this morning from a 1.5 day trips.  We had good action yesterday on the Bluefin Tuna.  We had a total of 45 Bluefin Tuna.  We had two Bluefin over 300 pounds (356 and 353).  We also had three Bluefin Tuna over 200 pounds.  Then we had about 12 nice fish weighing in between 80 and 180 pounds.  Late in the day we found a good school of 30 to 40 pound fish.   We had about about 25 of this nice fish.  It was good action right before the sun went down.  Good fishing and good weather.

Next few trips are overnights going for Yellowfin and Dorado.  Our next Bluefin trip departs on Monday night.

UPDATE: I just talked to Andrew and the 356 pounder is a boat record.

Hello everyone, The past couple days have been tough out here. We managed to land some nice school sized tuna yesterday but not nearly the numbers we were looking for. Today we tagged some Grouper and a nice Dorado. However the highlight was defiantly the groups of Striped Marlin we found in the afternoon. They were high and dry with Frigate birds putting on quite a show above them. Not our targeted species on these trips but defiantly a nice reason to stop the boat and fight a couple. The areal show is always quite impressive. With the marlin in our wake we now have our sights set on trophy tuna tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

The first trip is a one day that departs on July 16th. Fishing on the 17th. There are 4 spots open. Cost is $205. Limited to 20 passengers.

The next trip is a two day that departs July 24th (Tuesday night) fishing July 25th and 26th . cost of the trip is $450.00 and includes food and Mexican permits. Limited to 22 anglers. There are 8 spots open on this one.

The last one is a 2.5 day charter at the end of July. This is limited to 18 passengers. Trip departs on July 26th fishing on the 27th and 28th and returns on the morning of the 29th.

The Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

Our big one from yesterday. We had a good opportunity in first thing in the morning unfortunately mid day was tough. We saw plenty of fish but just couldn’t get them to work, Back out Wednesday night !

We have made a few changes to our schedule for Christmas break. Starting this Friday (Dec 21) we will be scheduled everyday until December 31. The only day we will not be scheduled is Christmas Day. On January 1st we will shut the boat down for our annual maintenance period. Happy holidays. Capt. Ryan Bostian.

Friday, August 10th, 2012

Hi friends. We finished up our trip today with a decent score of small bluefin, medium bluefin, small yellowtail, large yellowtail, dorado, and two very nice yellowfin. Mark also caught a yellow hard hat which he promptly wore the duration of the day. Anyhow, our weather started out kind of windy but by days end, it was absolutely gorgeous. We're happy everybody had a good time and we'll be in tomorrow morning sometime around 0800 hours. We'll be turning around and rollin' back out with Eric Rogger and company for a five-day adventure. We departed today on Bob Vance's annual five day. After we picked up a cruddy load of bait we dined on a delicious pork tenderloin for lunch and headed for the albacore grounds. This is a great group of anglers. Many have been on this trip with Bob for years. We are really looking forward to some good fishing. Weather is still good. Wish us luck.
