hey guys, hit up the north platte today around 8am. weather was overcast, felt chillier than I expected, but the fish were hungry! I was using a simple jig head with a plastic worm – green pumpkin color. managed to catch 4 nice smallmouths, biggest one was about 4 lbs! they were hanging near the rocks by the shore. lost a couple more, but can't complain really. oh and the wind was pickin up later, made it tricky to cast. overall, solid day out. can't wait to get back out there!
