finally got some decent weather on the 25th! sunny and warmish. hooked into 6 nice lingcod, biggest was a solid 12 lbs! using jigs and just working the drop-offs. a day to remember for sure, everyone left with smiles.
cloudy day on the water, but I was determined! my buddy and I caught 4 nice flounders using minnows. weather held off a bit, thank goodness. stayed out till sunset, it was a beautiful evening despite the clouds!
fishing today was a challenge – heavy rain and wind made the boat ride rough, but we managed to pull in 5 rockfish! they were hitting on the bottom with squid. ended the day soaked but happy, at least the fish were biting!
went back for round two on the 16th, more rain and wind than I bargained for. but had some fun tossing spinners around! got a couple under legal size but my friend caught a 6 lb king, was stoked for her. wish the sun would come out!
man, today was a bit of a washout... caught a cold too thanks to the rain! but we did manage to hook a big blackmouth, around 8 lbs. it was tough tho, had to use heavier tackle to cut through the rain. staying positive though!
