back to the surf again, still cloudy but not as windy as before. caught a bunch of smaller surf perch again, nothing huge but they were fun. using a light tackle setup, 8 lb line. always a blast at the beach!
took the kayak out today in the overcast weather. found some shelter from the wind. got a nice big bonito! probably around 5 lbs? used a feather jig, and man, what a fight it gave me!
cloudy skies again but hit the beach just in time for the low tide. caught a bunch of smaller halibut, like 2-3 lbs each. using swimbaits and jig heads. tough fishing, but I love the thrill of it!
went out in the rain this mornin. surprisingly, it was kinda fun! landed a few decent perch, smallest was about a pound. using bloodworms on a drop shot rig. got soaked but it was worth it for those bites!
the wind was crazy today! still managed to catch a couple of nice rockfish tho. used a lighter rod with 15 lb test, worked pretty well in the surf. weather was rough but that’s fishing right?
