Capt Mike Pritchard called in for the Tribute, absolutely excellent Bluefin Tuna fishing again today. We ended the day with 136 Bluefin Tuna, 36 Yellowtail and 82 giant Bonito, we had very success with the kite today. We are going to continue with our trips as long as these fish are around, we can let it go! We are changing some of our weekend trips and now will be headed out to either Cortez Banks or Tanner Banks where ever the Bluefin are. Yesterday morning we had some good fishing and the albacore and some great fishing on the yellowtail. Midday we got a nice round on the bluefin and late in the day we were back with the albacore biting full speed. It was a fantastic day. Weather was good and is still nice today. This morning we had a nice hit on the albacore. We have had some requests in the office to post the meals we serve on board, so we'll start putting some of that information on as well. Last night Chef Pedro served a wonderful duck breast fillet served in natural pan sauce. It was excellent. The night before we dined on salmon with a lemon, butter caper sauce. Also very tasty.

Some of our lunches on this trip were pork carnitas, with all the toppings and sides, and one day we had chicken marinara with pasta. Food and fishing is excellent! Paul Hess's group has also been excellent.

We will be into the dock tomorrow morning at 6am.

Capt Ryan called in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing called in to let us know they ran their first trip of the year today and what a day it was. We ended they trip with 125 Yellowtail for 38 anglers, very good fishing and the water temperature was 63 degrees. We caught fish on everything we tried from yoyo jigs, surface irons and dropper loops, with the dropper loops proving to be the most effective. We had some hard core anglers who stuck with the surface iron all day and did very well especially late in the day. The are two grades of fish down there, some are 5 to 12 pounds and the other were from 18 to 30 pounders. Today 50 of our fish were of the 5 to 12 pound range, 75 of the nicer grade. Very good fishing and the fishing is not easy we do a lot of driving around and looking, but when you get on the right school you can get a bunch really quick. Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we fished offshore continuing our streak of offshore trips. We had 39 passengers and we caught 195 California Yellowtail (limits) and 1 Pacific Bonito. It was very good Yellowtail fishing. We did see a few tuna in the area but we never hooked one today.
Be sure to bring a 25 pound bait rod (for Yellowtail). A 50 pound bait rod (for Bluefin Tuna) and a 50 pound rod for your flat fall or colt sniper!

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're off to a great start here this morning. We made a move down to the Yellowfin grounds that really paid off. We have over 150 Yellowfin tuna on the boat this morning. To that you can add 150 Yellowtail. We'll keep you updated as the day progresses.

"We're leaving on a 1 Day trip tomorrow night. I know some Bluefin have been caught locally. It's a good time to go fishing. There is still very good fishing to be had. Hope to see you on the water."

Hooked 10, but they are mean and like to destroy your gear. Ended with 4 Bluefin all around #70 pounds for our 5 anglers. 

Today's trip in fantastic weather has produced trophy lingcod. We dropper loop with a mackerel seems to be doing the job. We will call back with an update later. Our next trip departs on Friday. Don't miss the action.
