went back to merced on the 28th, sunny again and yes!! caught a 6lb trout! used a fly rod, it was awesome. the wind made it challenging but man, that catch made it worth it. best day of the month.
on the 26th, it was overcast which made it feel chilly, but still went fishing. barely caught anything, just a tiny perch. wind was strong too, so it was tough. at least my buddy made a great sandwich, so we had that!
the 25th was foggy but we still tried our luck on the river. caught a couple of small bass, not much to shout about. the fog was creepy but kinda cool. still had a good time with the guys, fishing is fishing right?
fished the merced again on the 20th, super nice day, caught 4 smaller ones but nothing over 2 lbs. used spinners, they seemed to work alright. my friend caught a monster tho, it was wild! next time, i wanna catch that big one.
had a great day on the 19th, sun was shining and the fish were biting. landed a 7lb steelhead, talk about a fight! used a jigger with some new lures. felt like a champ! can't wait to go back.
