Well that wasn't very fun. Lame is what I would call it. We fished the exact same as we did yesterday but only in reverse. We started where we finished yesterday and finished where we started and yes, it was lame. Not much fish and a whole lot of wind. You could of surfed some of the waves we saw yesterday. Needless to say we got out of there and headed up to where the weather is nice and there is a plethora of fish. We hope. It's the afternoon of the 19th and we're almost to the grounds. We'll check back tonight.

Ryan Bostian called in from the San Diego with this report, "We're checking in live from the Coronado Islands, as of noon we have 14 Yellowtail on the boat. These fish are 15 to 25 lbs. They're located in shallow water so we are landing only about 1/2 of what we are hooking. Very good entertainment here this morning on a fly line sardine.

"We have a charter this Friday that has a few open spots. This charter will be departing at 4:00 AM. We are going to have plenty of fishing time on these Yellowtail near Coronado Islands. If you'd like to join us please call Dave at 619-207-7345. Things are starting to shape up at the Coronado Islands. Like I mentioned earlier we have 14 Yellowtail on the boat and we still have plenty of fishing time. If you'd like to hop on an early departure trip call Dave at 619-207-7345."

I have one spot open on a 5.5 day Guadelupe trip departing November 1st and returning, November 6th. The trip is limited to 10 people and the cost is $1800. We departed today on Larry Brown's annual 10-day trip with 22 fine anglers. Most are repeats as they join Larry each year, but we are delighted to have a couple of new comers. We are in good weather and are happy to be driving out of the sooty smoky air. The group is excited after seeing Drew's great catch from the last trip. He had Dorado, Wahoo, those big cow Yellowtail and some Yellowfin with the jackpot weighing in at 160 lbs.! We are also getting reports that fish are moving in a new area and want to bite. This is all good news. So I will close for now as we get ready for dinner of filet and lobster with vegetables and a baked potato. Thanks for checking in and we'll update again tomorrow.

164 yellowfin tuna from 15-30 lbs and 1 mahi-mahi. Right place at the right time today. Flylined baits on 15-40 lb and small colt snipers and Flatfalls. Adjust your tackle based on the mode of the fish. Their mode is constantly changing so be aware and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

We are looking for an ambitious leader with an open mind to join Team
Supreme as the second captain. This person will work closely with captains
Tommy and Alec and be up to speed in no time by learning about their
experience of fishing, boat operations, and customer service.



Requirements: Someone that holds a 100 ton Masters Near coastal credential,
that has also have taken STCW 95 (Basic Training), and the Leadership and
Management class.

Its 0430 all hands on deck!,

 

                                             Clint Cambell started our morning hooking and landing a 70 pound yellowfin tuna on a PL 68, a few other tuna were hooked and lost due to the arrival of the tax man but don't worry that only put a very small dent into our morning plan, we went into search mode but this time we had plan B going for us, yummy flyers on the troll and we started to put a few nice grade tuna aboard with Paul Hess putting a 115 pounder on deck! We ended up scratching up a nice day of tuna and wahoo.
