got out today with some buddies, decent weather finally! caught about 12 crappie using minnows and jigs, they were biting pretty good. fished the same spots around the brush. nice to finally have a good haul after the last few trips.
another cloudy day but still managed to snag a few! only caught 5 crappie but they were decent size. used a small spinner and fished near the old submerged trees. the wind picked up, made it tricky but still fun!
overcast skies and chilly temps made for a quiet day on the water. only landed 4 crappie. fished deep near the docks with jigs. i think the fish were just hiding from the wind and cold. gonna try again when it warms up a bit!
heavy rains rolled in today, but we braved the weather! caught some nice crappie, about 8 keepers total. used a yellow jig under a bobber. fish were a little sluggish but still managed to hook a few before the storm got real bad.
another day at mark twain lake, and boy were we lucky! caught a bunch of crappie today. had a mix of jigs and live bait, they were hitting everything! weather was a bit windy but not too bad. definitely coming back tomorrow.
