 Good morning to you all from over here on the Polaris Supreme. As I write this I'm on watch at 2:40 in the am. We arrived from our 4 day "Let's Talk Hook Up" trip this morning and as soon as the RP was out of our way we off loaded a beautiful catch of yellowfin and 30-40 pound Bluefin. Jackpots went 96, 68, and 43 I think it was. Close enough. We did a super fast turn around. We smoked team galley that's for sure. Things at the bait receivers went well and we were back at it again yellowfinin it. It wasn't some crazy start like it had been lately but judging by some of the counts we were hearing we were very happy with what we got. We got spoiled these last few days with the power counts out here that when things got back to normal, which is still good, it seems slow. We ended up with a couple rounds of mostly the upper grade of yft and we're currently drifting in lovely sea conditions and we're ready to go at it again tomorrow.

 Tommy is back out here with us so in a way, it's like having a trip off. I'm not stuck here in the wheel house all day thinking of my next move. I spend lots of time down hanging with the customers and being a goof ball with Mark. I love running the boat but like I said, sometimes it's nice not to have to think so much out here. Today on the San Diego, 28 passengers got their Mexican limits of Yellowtail, hooked some Dorado.

Capt Ryan called in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing called in to let us know they ran their first trip of the year today and what a day it was. We ended they trip with 125 Yellowtail for 38 anglers, very good fishing and the water temperature was 63 degrees. We caught fish on everything we tried from yoyo jigs, surface irons and dropper loops, with the dropper loops proving to be the most effective. We had some hard core anglers who stuck with the surface iron all day and did very well especially late in the day. The are two grades of fish down there, some are 5 to 12 pounds and the other were from 18 to 30 pounders. Today 50 of our fish were of the 5 to 12 pound range, 75 of the nicer grade. Very good fishing and the fishing is not easy we do a lot of driving around and looking, but when you get on the right school you can get a bunch really quick. Plenty of stops on breezing, foaming, jumping, tuna. Colt Snipers and flylined bait on 25 lb. 16 yellowfin tuna, 14 bonito tuna, 1 mahi, mahi, mahi, mahi, mahi.

24 nice grade yellowtail. 100+ miles on our track line today, we now know where not to be.

Today was greatly disappointing after such a great fishing yesterday. Our efforts for better quality fish did not pay off. We saw great signs of 80-100 lb. fish but they just didn't want to cooperate. They would boil up good and look promising, but we only got a handful of fish. We are going to leave this place and give it time to straighten out. We are going to look for a new area. Our weather is still absolutely premium. Warm, hot and balmy. Thanks for checking in.
