Long Island Sound Fishing Report

finally got a break in the rain! went out with the guys today and it was pretty chill. found some nice spots to cast and we caught a bunch of perch. used little jigs and they were hitting like mad! good vibes all day and the weather was just patchy enough to keep it cool.

ugh today's weather was rough, high winds and rain everywhere! only fished for a few hours, couldn't take it. managed to reel in one tiny fluke. used a shrimp. need to wait for a better day to hit the sound again, this stinks!

today was wet again. caught a couple small bass while it was drizzling. wasn’t too bad, had my rain gear so stayed dry mostly. used some plastic worms and found them under the bridges. not a great haul but hey, every fish counts, right?

man, what a day! sunny and clear skies after all that rain. hit the bay at dawn and it was just perfect. i threw out a popper and oh boy, did they come up! got a nice 18 inch bluefish, fought like crazy. beautiful weather and good fish, can't beat it!

went out to the sound today; was cloudy but no heavy rain just some patchy stuff. got lucky with the stripers! we used some topwater lures, and they were smashing it! caught 6 good ones, around 24-30 inches. had a blast watching them chase my plug!
