Hello everyone, Today was spent traveling up. A great ride to end a great trip filled with a variety of fish. We would like to thank Billy Stephens for putting together such a great charter! Polaris Supreme Trip Update 12-05-2018

Tuna fishing this morning was excellent. We took off around 10 o'clock and did a tour of the South end of the island sightseeing. Yep that's right decided to go sightseeing. The guys and gals had a great morning and they've had several great days and of course we have tomorrow to fish for a full day. So we decided to show them some of the sites! That of course was easy and a great success. We anchored backup for the afternoon and scratched a few more fish before dark. Tomorrow will be our last day here at the island. Hoping for a big morning and then maybe go do some yellowtail fishing.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-3-2012 Report

 

The last travel day of the trip. Yes we get in tomorrow morning at 8 am. The boat will have one night in and then we're off with the O.T.R. group on a 10 day trip. Last night we stopped and played a game called flying fish. Myself, Matty and Mark got down. I live for competition. Your parents always teach you it doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you tried your best. That's a bunch of crap. Winning is everything. I scored 18 points with 1 assist taking the trophy. Yup Lon, we got you some flyers for the kite. Today's just like the rest of travel days. There's a movie going, people hanging out outside in this nice weather and some zzz's going down as well. Jeremy's vacation is over today. He just got cell phone reception so income the texts so he's staying busy.

 Good evening everyone!  This here is just a teaser.  We're out for a  couple days and then we're dockside for a little.  You won't be reading steady emails for another week and a half or so.  I'm going to keep this short until then.  I'll explain all about our new electronics and things later when we have them more figured out.  For example I'd like to figure out how writing these reports can be more comfortable.  Nevermind I just figured it out.  This keyboard is cordless.  So how does it charge?  Good example there.  I wonder if I  can write this in bed?  Anyhow, we fished some today.  We got in the  zone around 5 and it wasn't boring.  We were pretty much always running on something until 7:30. There wasn't much meat to it though. 
 Just few fish spots mostly.  We have a yellowfin to show for it.  First tuna of the year!
We'll be in this zone tomorrow.  Give it all day and see how it goes.  We'll cover more ground tomorrow with 12 more hours to fish that's for sure.  I'll write much more later I promise.  I"m still figuring this computer out.       

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning with an update from the Coronado Islands. Yesterday we had 54 California Yellowtail, 47 California Barracuda, 6 Kelp Bass, 3 California Sheephead, 35 Rockfish and 1 Lingcod.The fishing has been very good at the Coronado Islands! Hey everybody. More of the same today. Lots of sanding and grinding as we prepare for painting next week. The five of us have worked from 0700 hours until 1600 hours for the past two days and the weekend forecast calls for more of the same. No rest for the wicked, I guess. Anyhow, I'll update you all with some photos this weekend and you can see just a glimpse of what we've been up to.

Injury of the day: Boat-work always has a high level of danger involved, especially with being twenty feet in the air, scaffolding surrounding the boat, electrical chords running wild and very dangerous equipment in our hands. It's a very stressful situation and accidents do happen and today, one did. Jed got stung by a bee.

There has been excellent bluefin fishing at 120 to 150 miles the last few days! In response the POLARIS SUPREME is putting the follow two day trips on line to specifically target these fish in this area as well as the yellowtail on the kelp patties in that zone.
