Greetings Apollo Anglers,

We have a two day charter that has one opening due to illness.

The two day trip departs Sept. 19 (Wed.).fishing September 20 & 21 (Thurs. & Fri.), This is an ultra limited load of 18 anglers that has fished together for over 10 years.

The cost of the trip is $600 per angler includes food and permits.

The Apollo has been getting bluefin, yellowfin, yellowtail, albacore and dorado.

July 5
    Good evening everyone.  It's evening where I am right now anyway.  It may not be when you read this.  We left on a 6 day this morning.  We stopped to get bait and yes, there is still a shortage of sardine.  We got about 30 scoops of jumbo sardine mixed with all size mackerel.  Then we took a couple scoops of beautiful looking anchovy.  We skipped the sardine seminar and concentrated on an anchovy seminar.  The lost art.  20# test, # 2 hook.  Finess fishing.  When you find out how good of a fisherman you really are.  That's what the tuna are feeding on around here so they'll hit them fine if it's presented right.

    We'll be hunting tuna tomorrow first thing and we'll take it from there.  The weather now is stellar but they're forecasting some wind tomorrow afternoon.  We hope they're wrong.
                                    

 

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-06-2019 The Polaris supreme departed today on Bill Stephens annual eight day trip. We got a nice early start and are hoping to arrive at our final destination in a few days bright and early. We have a great group of guys/and one girl heading south excited about the signs that Alec saw last trip on the simpatico trip. No pictures yet will save that for when we start catching something. Hello everyone, Today we spent the day working up towards home. Hitting spot after spot until we finally had a shooter of yellowtail at the last minute. A great flurry of fish to end out our fishing time. The yellows we landed were defiantly large, all between 20 and 30 lbs. We have the boat pointed home at the moment. Hopefully we make good speed!  Well today didn't go like we were hoping.  We didn't catch anything on the anchor in the morning like we did yesterday morning.  So we thought at least we could get our 3 wahooless passengers a skin but that didn't happen.  There were quite a few boats trying.  We already caught a bunch of tuna the last couple days, so we stuck with the plan and got out of there way and left to go fish yellows.  That was a bust.  There were three of us looking around and none of us caught much.  Just a few handfuls of yellows was all.  So we decided to take off after lunch and we put it on course for Alijos Rocks.  We'll be there tomorrow morning and our plan is to catch some more wahoo.  We'll give it at least a full day there and maybe even another halfer.  Hopefully we have the place to ourselves there tomorrow.  We did get one really nice hoo during our travels this afternoon.  It was about 65 pounds.  A trip maker for the young Darrel.  You'll see it later on the website when we put it up.  Take care now.
      
 

Capt Mike Pritchard checked in with this report from the Tribute. "Another great day of fishing here. We have limits of Yellowtail. Now we are in search of some Bluefin. We have caught one so far.

Our private charter went the distance today. They were rewarded with 31 yellowfin 22 dorado 66 yellowtail 46 skipjack.
