big thunderstorms were forecasted so i went out early to lake harris. caught 2 nice stripers before the rain hit. it felt like a race against the weather, but got some nice pics too. better watch the sky next time though, super sketchy!
today was real hot, but i braved the humidity at lake harris. only caught a couple small ones but i had a blast trying to figure out what they were biting on. ended up with a sunburn too, so wear sunscreen, haha.
back to lake harris, weather was better today, just a little patchy rain. caught a solid 4lb bass on a green pumpkin jig right next to the lily pads. it hit hard! the thrill of the catch was awesome, had a great time!
rain just wouldn't let up today, but i went anyway. caught one decent bass right at sunrise before it got too wet, about 2.5lbs, but after that it was a tough day. used my trusty topwater frog and had a few bites but nuthin stuck.
fished lake harris again, rain was pretty heavy today, like really heavy. but i did land a nice 5lb catfish on a spinnerbait! that was a pleasant surprise. water visibility was low but still worth it. i think they were hiding from the rain.
